Agistment
We offer stress free agistment for breeders who do not have their own property or sufficient time to care for their animals. Our agistment service provides a total care package for all your animals. Your animals can be run with our own herd or separately.
Every paddock on our property is either watered by self watering troughs or dam and have purpose built shelters. We do not run heavily pregnant girls or cria in paddocks with dams. We guarantee that your animals will be given the same level of care as if they were our own. We provide the following husbandry of all animals.
6 monthly
- worm drenching,
- ADE and Selenium injections,
- 5in1 vaccinations, and
- toenail and teeth trimming as required
Cria are administered 5in1 and ADE at 6 and 12 weeks of age. Cria are weaned at approx 6 months of age and at that time are provided husbandry as part of the herd as detailed above.
All animals agisted with us at shearing time, that have been with us for longer than 6 months (or will be with us longer than 6 months) will be shorn at a reduced fee of $7.70 per animal. Agistees that come along and help out on shearing day will have their animals shorn for just $5.50 each.
We also offer agistees the opportunity to use any of our Stud Males at a discounted rate of 30% for 1-4 matings and 50% for 5 matings or more to your girls agisted with us.

Shearing
As demand is generally high for shearing from Aug-Jan it is recommended that you plan for your shearing as early as possible and contact us. This will give you the best opportunity to have your animals shorn on, or as close to, the dates that you have planned.
If you have a small number of animals, try organising with other breeders in your area to either pool your animals or have each studs animals shorn consecutively on each property, reducing travel costs for everybody. Due to the high cost of fuel and to keep our shearing charge per animal as low as possible we felt it unavoidable to cover our travel costs.
We offer a range of shearing and husbandry services including:
- Shearing
- Injections
- Drenching
- Teeth Trimming
- Toe Nail Trimming
- Ear Tagging
- Other general husbandry and health advice
We also offer a sharpening service for shearing combs and cutters.
Husbandry
We understand that some breeders do not feel comfortable with the idea of administering injections, drenches and toenail and teeth trimming. We also understand the confusion that some new breeders experience with husbandry due to the myriad of differing opinions and information available.
It can also be a somewhat stressful situation for both animals and owners at husbandry time if you are apprehensive or inexperienced as the animals very quickly sense this and tend to act up. This makes the whole situation even worse for all concerned.
After extensive consultation with our local Camelid Vet, Dr Jack Laing of Bungendore Veterinary Surgery we have developed our own husbandry schedule for use on farm. This is a plan that suits us in our locality and breeders should always consult their local Vet for advice on issues that may be specific to the health of their animals in their own area.
We can provide full routine husbandry for your animals as part of your own husbandry plan. We are also very happy to assist new breeders conducting their husbandry for the first time. To help answer all those questions of when, where, how often, what dosage etc. We can also provide advice on when additional husbandry may be required.
We can provide all medications and necessary equipment or we can administer your own for you. Please contact us to discuss your needs.
Animal Transport
Although we do not provide regular transport services, we do however, at most times, have space available in our float when we travel conducting mobile matings, shearing and other services. If your animal transport requirements are not urgent please contact us and if possible we may be able to provide assistance for transportation of small quantities of animals as part of our travels.
Fencing
Over the past 3 years we have completely redesigned our property with new fencing, including laneways, holding yards and visiting animal enclosures. We offer fencing services and basic farm layout and design assistance at very reasonable rates.
Animal Shelters
We have constructed many shelters on our own property and these have proven to be a great hit with our animals. Especially during some of the most feral weather over the past 12 - 18 months. We can design and construct basic animal shelters to your individual requirements.
On Farm Help
There are always times when we find ourselves in need of an extra pair of hands or we simply don't have the time or expertise to do some of the things we would like on farm. If you find yourself in this situation contact us and where possible we will do our best to help you out.
