Andrew and Bronwyn Munn welcome you to our Alpha Centauri Alpaca Stud website. After more than 30 years combined service in the Australian Army we decided it was time to focus on something totally different. With our love of animals and passion to live the rural lifestyle we decided many years earlier that when we left the Defence Force we would establish our very own alpaca stud.

Alpha Centauri Alpaca Stud was established in 2002 on our 40 acre property approximately 20km south of Bungendore and Queanbeyan in NSW, with the purpose of breeding Solid White huacayas. After purchasing our first two females in late 2003 we now have over 100 breeding age females, 14 Stud Males, a number of wethers and our current drop of cria (baby alpaca) on farm.  We have since moved from Bungendore to Jerrawa near Yass to approximately 400 acres.

Andrew is also a past President of the Southern NSW Region of the Australian Alpaca Association.

Our breeding plan is to produce superfine, dense, solid white Huacaya. In our first two years we mated our girls to superior males and this provided us with exceptional results. All our girls are currently mated to our own stud males - Elysion Jupiter, Bedrock Sentinel Alpha Centauri Vyper, Alpha Centauri Comanchee, Alpha Centauri Addixion, Alpha Centauri Kolorado, Alpha Centauri Sunfire, Alpha Centauri Khobi & Alpha Centauri Wolfman (Addixion, Kolorado & Khobi are not available for outside matings). Our males have been specifically hand picked to compliment each other in our breeding program.

We are very confident that our boys will compliment each other and we are looking forward to seeing the fruits of our breeding plan over the next couple of years. Our foundation stud males who are sadly not with us anymore - Shanbrooke Society Class Act,Woodland Chase Milagro & Wyterrica John Boy have given us a fantastic base of breeding females and stud males to work with.  With the introduction of our younger stud males and Elysion Jupiter, Bedrock Sentinel & Alpha Centauri Comanchee we are really looking forward to refining our breeding lines which we hope will be extremely dense, superfine, with great fleece characteristics and awesome brightness.

We hope you enjoy looking around our website.
