The Sydney Royal Easter Show - 29 March - 02 April 2018
We didn't have the best preparation leading up to the Sydney Royal Easter Show this year and the alpacas were definitely in paddock condition - with half the paddock still in their fleece! We are absolutely over the moon with our results from the show. Thank you to the Judge Mrs Karen Caldwell the Convenor Keryn Burns, Paul Haslin and the whole team that put the show together. We are thrilled that Alpha Centauri Dominika was awarded Best in Show Huacaya this year and 1st in the Sires Progeny for our main stud sire Elysion Jupiter. We had a brilliant weekend at Carousel of Colour in Goulburn. A great show and a credit to Angela Smith and all her team of hardworking volunteers who put on a splendid colour format show. Hawkesbury Show - 06 May 2017
What a great day at Hawkesbury Show today. We are very happy to have won Supreme Light Fawn with Alpha Centauri Iroquois and Supreme White with Alpha Centauri Kamando. Kamando was then awarded Best Huacaya in Show following on from his Supreme at this years Sydney Royal Easter Show. Alpha Centauri Evander was awarded Champion Fawn Male, Alpha Centauri Rousey was awarded Champion Light Fawn Female, Alpha Centauri Guns N Roses awarded Reserve Champion Brown Male & Alpha Centauri Kleo awarded Reserve Champion White Female. We are so excited with our results from the Sydney Royal Easter Show and very proud of our Intermediate White Male - Alpha Centauri Kamando being awarded Champion Intermediate Male, Grand Champion Male Huacaya, Champion White Huacaya and Best Huacaya Alpaca in Show, topped off with 1st and 3rd in Sires Progeny for our main stud sire Elysion Jupiter (sire of Kamando). Moss Vale Show - 19 March 2017
Another day, another show! What a difference a day makes, from hot and dry to muddy and wet. We wish we could have taken the green grass and rain home with us at the end of the day. A fantastic show in tough conditions and a credit to the organisers. We had a great show and so proud of our boys & girls! Canberra Royal Show - 25-26 February 2017
We had a great weekend at Canberra Royal Show. The Alpha Centauri team did us proud and we are very happy with our results. The AAA Judges for the halter classes were Steve Ridout & Karen Caldwell and for the fleece classes was Lyn Dickson. Congratulations to Yvette & Jeff Mitchell of Leparo Alpacas for Leparo Leda’s results. Big thank you to Katie Thomas for helping us over the weekend. Also thanks to the guys & gals at Vincentia High School (with a special thanks to Izzy), an awesome bunch of young alpaca enthusiasts. The Charles Ledger Show 17-18 September 2016
We are delighted with our results from The Charles Ledger Show on the weekend. There were studs from South Australia, Victoria and across New South Wales in attendance and it was fantastic to see over 300 strong in the halter including around 60 suri entries. Thank you to the AAA Judges Angela Preuss & Jillian Holmes and the Convenor Sharon Dawson & her team for such a great show! We are so proud of our Elysion Jupiter progeny & the Alpha Centauri Kommissar progeny that are doing well in the show ring. AAA National Show & Sale, Globe Derby Park in Adelaide 4 - 6 August 2016
We are thrilled with our results from the 2016 AAA National Show & Sale in Adelaide. It was definitely worth the 12 hour drive to and from Globe Derby Park! Congratulations to all the winners. Our beautiful Elysion Jupiter sired female Alpha Centauri Kittery was awarded a 1st and went on to receive Champion Adult Female. Leparo Cyllene (owned by Leparo Alpacas) and Alpha Centauri Kamando were both awarded a 3rd place in their classes while Alpha Centauri Kommissario (full brother to Alpha Centauri Kommissar) was awarded a 2nd place in his class against strong competition. We are extremely happy with how the Alpha Centauri Kommissar progeny went in the show ring - Jennjoley Braveheart (owned by Jennjoley Alpacas) was awarded a 1st and Champion Adult Male and in her first showing Alpha Centauri Damicah was awarded a 2nd and Reserve Champion Intermediate Female. Alpha Centauri Kommissar is now doing great work in the Netherlands and we can't wait to see his progeny in the ring! Congratulations to Liz & Mick George of Houghton Hall Alpacas in the UK for their purchase of Alpha Centauri Kittery. Had a great day at the 148th Royal Bathurst Show last Sunday. A very friendly and well organized show thanks to the Convenor Jennie Menzies and all the team involved whom volunteer their time to make the show happen. A huge thank you to Wayne Barrott, Melanie Brown & Scott Marsden for helping Bronwyn show the alpacas and to everyone that lent a hand - it is very much appreciated!
